Pearl Harbor submarine officer spouses dove right into activities in September and October!
On the creative side, a daytime and a nighttime fall sign painting party let members create clever and downright gorgeous door signs.
Members dined at Jade Dynasty Restaurant, Casablanca and Thai Lao. Brunch and coffee at Conversations Cafe took place before a tour of Queen Emma Summer Palace.
Out and about, Grace Larson organized a family friendly pumpkin picking excursion to Waimanalo Country Farms. Fara Futch is also scheduling monthly puppy playdates for all our salty dogs at the Makalapa dog park.
On the charitable side, we’ve participated in a canned goods collection and are reviving monthly dinner delivery to Fisher House at Tripler Army Medical Center, which lets families of Tripler patients stay while their loved ones are receiving treatment. Prior to being able to serve meals at Fisher House, our philanthropy chair, Kristin McNab, headed up paper goods supply drives for the nonprofit, temporary lodging facility.
Thanks to Fara Futch for being the activities chair and to Amanda Dobransky for organizing our “Dining Dolphins” dinners out and Jordan Kinney for arranging “lunch bunch” after each month’s membership meeting, and to all the members who have organized and hosted various events so far this year!
