PHSOSA started its club year on Aug. 19 (the association meets August through May and takes a break during the summer PCS season.)
Extra COVID precautions were taken to make sure our gathering was safe and socially distanced. Groups of less than 10 rotated between a photo station under the Ford Island Banyan tree, and the upper lanai and lower lawn at historic quarters on the base.
PHSOSA president Kim McCay gave an introduction to the club and its purpose, Tracy Davis spoke about the Command Spouse Leadership Course, representatives from the Dolphin Store showed off sample merchandise, and all spouses had a chance to chat while eating mochi, baklava, biscotti, fruit, and other tasty nibbles.
It was exciting to see many new faces after the past year spent mostly in virtual events.
Thank you to Trish Jablon for having us and for the executive board’s hard work putting together such a boho chic and creative get-together!
